Hello Don,

re >> But maybe they don't have to order more equipment - after all, the chipmakers produced 14.4B in September without any more equipment.

Are you considering capacity utilization in this skeptical stance ? Aren't we reading that cap util is close to 100% for some processes ? So the 50% increase in chips is accounted for by increasing cap util from 65% to 95%. Which are the numbers that I've seen mentioned.

Anyway, back to an old discussion. I think nasdaq will go over 2000 this week. I expect a really positive report on employment on Friday. And likely there will be a lot of buying ahead of that on Thursday. Especially if the claims number is low again. Which I expect it to be.

I bought a family minivan a couple days ago. The sales person said business was the best he's seen in 3 years, with all the manufacturer incentives. And in all 3 times I went to the dealer, the place was busy with customers.
