Why do you say I am attacking Moore? He is an author and I am attributing the source of an opinion with which I disagree. As I do for those opinions with which I agree.

We're in the midst of a critical analysis of The Gorilla Game (the strategy). What Moore did and didn't do in developing this theory is fair ground. Is it not?

In my opinion the theory around which he based, marketed and sold his book (it's not called "Identifying Gorillas") is flawed. OK, so everyone now admits this is the case and we can move on. Is that your point? I suspect there are some who would disagree with that conclusion. Not least because they've argued against my position in that respect.

And to state that the thread hasn't practiced the theory is indulging in overgeneralization. Does something have to be done by everybody on the thread before it is a topic for discussion? The Front Office Gorilla Game is exactly the theory in action, and keeps being raised as such. For example.

And as far as persistent problems, well one of the more persistent problems on this board is a lack of receptivity to critical thinking in opposition to openly espoused positions. Very defensive responses to anything that remotely impinges an author's credibility.

If we have to spend time praising bull$hit as "powerful fertilizer" and reading between the lines of what everyone posts... well, it would be ever so polite 'round here, but we might as well all forget about learning anything useful.
