France and Russia took the position that Iraq was not a WMD threat to the US -- and they were 100% correct. France and Russia knew this because they had a much closer relationship to Saddam. They actually had a clue as to what was and what was not going on in Iraq. The US, acting without a clue, still cannot fathom the extent to which their "intel" from expatriate Iraqis was a crock of $hit. Don't blame France and Russia for out troubles -- we brought them on oursevles by refusing to believe the truth about Iraq -- no WMD and no threat to the US.
