Well, I don't think he was counting the testimony of former high governmental officials. And he said he had been doing interviews around Baghdad, not Tikrit.

But the certainty with which he declared that Iraqis supported the war, in the midst of declaring, with palpable disdain (his voice sounded like a Yankee version of the Beeb sneer), how the arrogance of the neocons was screwing up the peace, was quite striking.
