Do you think I honestly care how the Iraqis make money off their oil? You have to care if you want to lend them money. Not much point in lending them money they can't pay back, or even lending them money they could pay back but at the cost of draining the country dry and setting it up to be a long term bed of hostility and resentment to the US. That isn't the issue. No one bothered to figure it out. The GOP decided to give them the money. Whether they could pay a loan or not was quickly swept under the table. Its disgusting the major ripoff going on in DC. What are you talking about....that's all conservatives talk about. No it isn't even the most frequent theme that conservatives talk about, let alone "all conservatives talk about". In any case I think actions speak louder then words and conservatives have never slashed and burned the body of social programs in the US. They always grow not shrink and sometimes they grow faster under Republicans then they do under Democrats. In the past, conservatives have slashed and burned social programs.
