You inferred that the lack of a proper Palestinian state was the cause of the conflict. I replied that, no, it was a symptom of the conflict. A Palestinian state has been on the table or directly offered multiple times: 1937, 1947, 1979, 1993, 2000. It does not exist because it was refused every time. The Palestinians are unwilling the pay the price for it: peace. They won't give up the conflict and the hope of destroying Israel totally.
