You as an engineer, should know better.

My undeserved Q-gains were extracted by tapping off the frictional heat from the volatility of your Q-shares, as it bopped up and down in the great big heat-exchanger that is the market place.

You see the volatility as risk, as in beta and other Greek alphabets, and I used your risk as my opportunity, turning the risky heat into undeserved gains via the Call instrument and the Put construct.

Without you shouldering the risk in the form of volatility, there can be no gain for me in the shape of volatility premiums.

And so, therefore, some of my cabbage most definitely came from your patch.
