Gecko and dougjn:

Although royalties are a small % of revenues, you are unfortunately missing the point...... ROYALTIES COST NOTHING.....well a little bit but for the most part they go STRAIGHT TO THE BOTTOM LINE......If the company can simply break even on operations, as I stated earlier, I will be very happy as the royalty stream is HUGE.......

Finally, Gecko....CDMA WILL be the NEXT GENERATION STANDARD......regardless of the crap the press is publishing( most of them wouldn't know their head from their.......(j.k).......

Check out ctia.com for recent info if you don't as of now.....NTT said that they want a GLOBAL standard......guess what.......ERICY is .... out of luck.....Remember that Qualcomm and Vodaphone are doing trials right now.....my guess is that the next generation technology will incorporate IS-95 and will be able to overlay a GSM system.......

According to many of the people I talk to within the biz, QCOM is the research hub of wireless technology currently as far as CDMA goes anyways ..... Also, don't knock the Koreans or take them as a non-threat....they are doing some research too.....

Finally, there is a company in Israel looking for startup money....They are called TranSky and are working on what technology......W-CDMA.....Hmmmmmm....I wonder if it is backwards compatible with IS-95......I'll get back to you....

Good Luck
