New Knoxville Telephone Deploying iVoice's Speech Communications Platform

MATAWAN, N.J., Nov 4, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- iVoice announced today that rural local exchange carrier New Knoxville Telephone has selected its Speech Enabled Unified Communications Platform to provide local Voice Mail services to subscribers of its Cable TV and CLEC subsidiaries, NKTELCO and GoldStar Communications.

With its unique combination of features, iVoice bundles the Speech Enabled Auto Attendant, Voice Mail, and Unified Messaging modules into one package, allowing iVoice to service the specific speech related needs of businesses. iVoice's integrated software is a unified office solution that enables users to manage calls and multimedia messaging by using simple voice commands, which eliminates the need for dialing and navigating through multiple directories and menus.

"After evaluating a number of alternatives, we selected the iVoice platform due to its reliability and versatility. These advanced features that the iVoice platform offers will help enhance our service and expand the portfolio of products we will have available to our customers," Said Preston Meyer, General Manager at New Knoxville Telephone. "We were impressed by both how easy it was to install the iVoice application, and by iVoice's excellent customer support."

The iVoice system is connected to the MetaSwitch VP3500 Next Generation Class 5 Switch installed in the NKTELCO facility. The iVoice Speech Enabled Unified Communications is connected via analog ports and digital SMDI for a completely integrated package.
