Daycare in the east runs about $800-$1000 per month per kid. See the problem. Yes people will breed as you say, but without some relief for the overburdened young folks, there will be huge future problems and this will reflect itself in bankrupcies galore and plenty of screwed up kids. As for your parents, you are supplementing at a minimum their social security. Perhaps we should go outside of the flat tax and pay social security to parents for dependent kids much like disablility for pregnant women and women with new borns. Another 1% off the top a la medicare should do it. mike
