I recall getting the idea to do the bank run after I bought a can of soda and I heard a different sound when my change came back (it was a silver dime). After that it was off to the races. I also had this wild idea about buying products in the US (near the border) and taking them back to a Canadian store (like a walmart) and getting 30% more than I paid for them back. I would then convert all the money back over to american money and walk away with a 30% gain. It was then that I learned about this phucked up thing called an "exchange rate." My 7th grade hopes of becoming a millionaire were dashed! Considering I was 13 and still watching Gilligans Island (still do) those were some fairly deep thoughts. And after Gilligans Island was done I had Buggs Bunny & Friends to watch and further ponder how I was going to make this exchange rate work in my favor LOL!!
