taking the two articles you just posted in tandem, doesn't it seem somewhat problematic that 1) nobody knows who the Dem candidates are and 2) Bush has a slim majority for an approval rating?

I think he would be better off if he had a slim majority but the alternatives were known. Unless the dem candidate has a lot of negatives, Bush will lose his majority of a few points.
