gerard, I agree with your basic premise that the super-rich are engaged in class warfare against 98% of the American public, and are winning the war. What I don't understand is this statement: This nation is entering an abyss which will ultimately backfire on even the richest. How so? The richest have their assets in off-shore tax havens, and are involved in globalizing their lives, as well as the misery of others. The U.S.A. is just a passing phase for them. As far as I can tell, the super-rich are loyal to their assets, not some nation state.
