I spoke to my broker in New York today and referred him to the article mentioned in PCWeek regarding the NOVL buyout. He tells me that given the volume in NOVL options today, that something is in the making...whether it is technically related or otherwise. His concern is that the options are down in price and that this is contradictory to a buyout happening over the next week or so.
His analysts indicate that the buyout price could be as high as $5 billion representing a 50% premium from the current trading range or about $15/share.

He pointed out that DEC has accumulated enough cash in its tills ($2.5 billion) and has put on the block its network hardware division (sale price about $700 million) and that DEC could be a possible contender for NOVL.

We will have to see but no doubt, with all the changes made recently at the top level, the low stock price and buyout rumours surfacing once again, we shareholders could finally see the $$$ at the end of the tunnel.
