Lizzie I was all hyped up a year ago about Mission bay SF.
sfgov.org You are talking about existing new construction like the condo's and such? That's what I was checking prices on several months ago. Like 'The Glass Works' across form Pac Bell Park as recall 500k - 1m+ for top floor. It has location specially if you get a bay view, a must for me.

Yeah I was thinking about looking into buying one of those new condos like the ones you listed, or something that isn't new in the area if there is such a thing, which obviously is not an *ideal* investment because the new ones start off very expensive. But still, the other UCSF area campus on Parnassus is truly one of the most beautiful places in SF I believe. If you want to find housing around there, I mean something nice, forget it and then the cost. So even though this Mission bay SEEMS like it is out of site, you can see there *could* be potential for those places to at least hold their value especially if that becomes a real biotech hub like they want. I read somewhere that UCSF is one of the top ten estate donation destinations in the US in terms of dollars. All these rich people around here are dying and leaving money to UCSF. I'm sure if I bought something there it would be one of the "economy editions" LOL. The other great thing about that area is the location is ideal for commuting. You can get in and out so easy, not like the marina where you are trapped. That is important to me.
