Advertisers have been manipulating language forever. It's alarming to read the extent to which the right has used this form of mind control. It's been very effective because Bush supporters still believe that invading Iraq to "stop terrorism" and "find wmds" and "liberate the Iraqis from oppression" and "we're winning". All of which is bunk and most of which has been debunked by the WH itself. Rumsfled appeared on Meet the Press Sunday and told Tim Russert we're winning the war on terrorism in Iraq.
