SAN DIEGO, Nov 5, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Spurred by increased product sales, American Fire Retardant Corp. (AFRR, Trade) announced today that they are increasing the production of TreeSafe.
According to Stephen F. Owens, President of AFRC, "Our online and offline sales activity strongly suggest that there is enough demand to justify increasing production by another 120,000 bottles." TreeSafe is the company's new easy-to-use spray-on fire retardant for real Christmas trees. Owens adds, "Because the holiday season is so short, it is imperative that we have product in inventory for immediate delivery. We are taking this action in anticipation of new orders and because our customers expect quick delivery times."
In other news, the company also announced that it has initiated a public service campaign and is urging fire departments to join the company's Holiday Fire Safety Initiative. Ed Grysiewicz, Managing Director of Delta Ventures and head of TreeSafe sales, says, "The focus of the initiative is to raise public awareness about Christmas tree fire prevention and the need for emergency preparedness. The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce (Jaycees) and Kiwanis International have already joined us and we hope that fire departments across this great land will also join us in embracing the spirit of this initiative in the hope of making our nation safer during the holidays." Fire Departments are being encouraged to visit the TreeSafe website at treesafe.com.
