<GST, where did you acquire this peculiar idea that only the UN is "legitimate" and the US government is not?> Because we invaded a sovereign country that posed no threat to us -- it is that simple. The UN had unfinished business that could have been used in time to justify any necessary action -- we should have remained part of that process but chose to go outside of it instead. What starts out screwed up most often ends up screwed up.
