First of all,
You need to understand a couple of facts.
The link you provided is for the use of RU-486 as an abortion pill, not a "morning after" contraceptive. Those are two VERY different things. If you don't understand the difference, sorry, but it's not my job to educate you. Thus, I'll let you figure that out on your own.
RU-486 is NOT the only morning after contraception, so get over it, especially if you follow the Catholic method of birth control. If you believe in using birth control pills, then you really have no idea what the hell you're talking about with respect to the use of "morning after" contraceptives.
Next, my favorite quote from that article:
He elaborated, "If a patient doesn’t keep her [post-abortion appointment] … if she cramps in the middle of the night, I don’t want to deal with that. I don’t want to be responsible around the clock seven days a week." In other words, providing RU-486 abortions requires that a physician act more or less like a physician — actually talking to patients, establishing some sort of relationship with them and taking responsibility when problems arise in the wake of treatment rendered.
All abortion procedures surgical or chemically induced have serious risks and side effects. Any doctor making the statements above is an idiot when it comes to patient care and he is begging for a lawsuit when the first one of his patients fails to get pregnant later in life.
Next, huge numbers of studies have been done and show that RU-486 has advantages for some patients over surgical abortion, end of that discussion.
Confusing and obfuscating the issue of the effective use of RU-486 as a "morning after" contraception vs. an abortion pill and inflaming the discussion by bringing up anectodal evidence that negligent doctors and patients can kill themselves while having an abortion just shows how naive, misguided, or overzealous you are.
