Control the bond market? No way, it's too big. 4.5% is a trigger for regular buyers to come in, and they will. However, when enough folks have their fill at 4.5%, it will quickly go to 6%, not withstanding a hesitation at 5%. IMO.

And at yields exceeding 5%, who will put their money in non-interest bearing gold? No one ... until the stagflation crisis begins coming into focus, but that won't start until late spring at the earliest, I'm guessing.
