I actually think this is great. I hope she has me on ignore. That way I can say anything I want about her ideas and her man without any challenge.
Kerry, for example, got his Silver Star under odd circumstances. Sure, he did move his boat into enemy territory, but other guys were on the boat too. When the boat landed, it landed near one enemy soldier who got up and promptly began to run for his life. One of the other soldiers with Kerry shot, but failed to kill the little guy, who had hidden a short ways away. Another of Kerry's soldiers began to pummel the soldier with bullets, but the little feller still didn't die. After a time, the enemy was near death. Kerry got a grenade launcher and then finished him. For that, he got a Silver Star.
Hey, the guy was in Nam and for that my hat goes off to him. But all this stuff about his single-handedly engaging the fearless foe as the mountain wind wafted along the southeastern side of the rice paddy to blow through his hair, is crap. |
