unfortunately i dont know of any facility in te detroit area that has these scanners

I would be VERY surprised if there was not one in the Detroit area. They are very common now. "Heartscan" is a company that has commercialized the procedure, but ask or search for hospitals with Ultrafast CT or EBT scanners, and I'll bet there is at least one hospital with one. Prices will likely be much more at a hospital than a "Heartscan" facility. For example, there was a hospital in Asheville, NC that had a scanner who wanted about $800 for the scan plus radiologist's reading, yet both the scan and interpretation were only $400 in the Washington, DC Heartscan facility. If you really want to do this (which I think may not be worthwhile in your case), you could always fly to one of the Heartscan locations and probably stil be $$$ ahead of doing it locally.
