The paper trade is definitely diminished lately. It is apparently attributed to the scant profits now available due to the low interest rate environment. Spreads are apparently too low.

Looking at silver, the decline is even steeper. However in both cases, there seems to be an uptick for the last month reported.

The history of the LBMA is fascinating, and continues today with the same traditions and the same controlling families. They have their own "bell ringer", just as Grasso WAS at the NYSE, but this guy's job is much more secure!
