>>That might not be so bad, since the Iranians want democracy. Let the two merge into a single democracy founded on Shite principles.<<

This is not some board game that the USA gets to decide whatz what. The idea of anything even remotely resembling a democracy in Iran/Iraq is completely out of the question (for next 30 to 50 years). The people who know this fact best are Cheney & Bush -- in that order.

When are people in this country going to "wake up and smell the coffee -- or should I say oil"

Do you think for one iota of a second that Lil George is thinking to himself -- "gee it'll be so nice when we get those democratically elected officials in place there in Iraq"? Even he isn't that stupid.

The man is going to pull the plug under the claim that he liberated a country that "still has some work to do". He lost already and he knows it -- he's just trying to find a way out without looking like a moron. He knows he cannot get reelected if he is still bogged down in the sands of Iraq come this time next year.

It would be about as easy as getting PROLIFE to join Planned Parenthood then it would to get Iraqis operating a free, elected government. It ain't gonna' happen -- take your play soldiers home and save your time & money.
