Every war is a quagmire when there is no end in sight and soldiers' lives and billions of dollars are being lost and wasted.

Good one, tejek.

In your mind, we never should have responded to Pearl Harbor or liberated France, because it would have gotten us into "quagmire."

Where did I ever say that? Furthermore, where do you get off comparing a war where the US was physically attacked by a sovereign nation to a war on a sovereign nation perpetrated pre emptively by the US? 9/11 was an attack on the US committed by OBL, and not Saddam.

When will you all ever figure that one out?

There sure was no end in sight either in the Pacific or Atlantic. Exit strategy? Not a priority, then. The focus was "Entrance strategy" and conquering the Axis.

Only after we ourselves got attacked by one of the Axis. Prior to that, we dragged our feet much to the consternation of Europe. It was the pre emptive attack by Japan that finally motivated Americans of that time. Please note that it was Japan, and not the US that acted pre emptively during WW II. How times have changed!

People volunteered to fight in droves. Some were even under age or over age, nearly everybody (except pacifists) wanted to volunteer and kick butt.

Of course, that war made sense and was led by a great president. This one is a joke led by a wannabee cowboy.

Think about that......Saddam has a $25 million bounty on his head......he was a hated tyrant, and yet, no one is turning him in to us. Does that tell you anything?

Are you implying that he's actually loved and is just a "victim" of US government propaganda?

No, I am SUGGESTING that the Iraqis will protect Saddam to spite us......if you can believe that. Think about that one, o wise one! Remember, according to Bush, the Iraqis hate Saddam!

It tells me that: 1) He already murdered almost anybody who might disclose where he is, and has terrorized or coopted many of the rest. What good is $25 million if you're dead? He cuts the tongues off people who merely offend him. The very, very few who know where is are either like-minded, or scared sh*tless; 2) He spent the past 30 years creating hiding places and safe houses. It will take time to unearth him.

And yet, they were willing to turn in Uday......certainly as evil and dangerous as his father. Sorry, o wise one, your argument doesn't make a lot of sense.

Do you forget the past so easily, or are you in denial?

I am not telepathic........what past are you implying?
