ild, I cannot say Euro is popular with W3C yet. On gold, the mainlanders are supposedly buying oodles of gold when they visit HK, and HK re-export of gold to mainland (used to mean smuggling) is supposedly increasing platinum.matthey.com .

The interesting thing is actually platinum, how its sharp increase in price has not hurt its popularity much as one would have guessed. platinum.matthey.com
