edward,
I'll sure agree with this:
"I would think that selling gold coins has been a really tough way to make a living until recently."

I very clearly remember the visits I made to local coin dealers in 2000, looking for some coins for Christmas presents. Many were no longer coin shops in anything but name, having NO precious metal coins for sale. None whatsoever!! They were selling anything from antiques to military surplus, anything to stay in business.

This piqued the interest of every contrarian bone in my body.

I was able to negotiate below wholesale prices at those shops that did have some inventory and in so doing made some fantastic buys.

We should be able to judge the health of this gold bull by the consumer demand for coins when the price of gold dips.

That will be a factor I look at when I am trying to decide if we have a run up soon or "Gold, Interrupted".

Best Regards,
Roebear
