Hi Nadine Carroll; Re: "The rest is spin."

The French spoke the truth. Consequently, they did not have to spin anything. It's the Bush administration that has had to spin and then sometimes respin nearly everything they claimed about Iraq, not the French.

The Bushies have had to explain away the comments about everything from their knowledge of the exact locations of WMDs in Iraq, their knowledge of the locals love for the US, that the increase in attacks against US troops indicates that the rebels must be "desperate", that US troops wouldn't be coming home by August (2003), that the Iraqi oil would pay for the reconstruction and or occupation, that various allies would come in on our side, that "major combat" was over, etc.

Re: "Carl Bilow Reality Distortion Field"

Time has been rather kind to both the French and my view of reality. My only serious error was expecting Bush to not go on with the fiasco.
