"One does not lose his soul by sacrificing earthly bootie, or in turning his back on inapplicable doctrine or religious oligarchy, for the sake of humanity...quite to the contrary, one's soul and character are strenthened by such an act."

By booties (infant boots) I intended the idea of sloughing off the material skin (such as a snake) to expose the essence beneath. Of course, there is no such thing unless several hundred years of scientific observation and experimentation have understood nothing at all of the matter of life and death.

I know you believe in a soul and that death brings rewards, so I considered that it might be somewhat less of a sacrifice for one such as yourself to court annihilation on this plane for a "noble" value or cause. My observation though, was that-for someone who believed that he had no soul and that death was extinction (the atheistic belief)--sacrificing earthly pleasures for a "noble" cause might be considered a greater "sacrifice" than the "sacrifice" of the person who thinks he is merely cranking things up a notch in terms of bliss. To the extent that we equate nobility with how dearly a cause is bought and paid for...we must stand in awe at the (ultimate) sacrifice made by those whom believe (on the basis of overwhelming evidence) that they have no souls.
