The facts stand by themselves. Now that the South is Republican, there is a net migration of African Americans to the South. Now that the South is Republican, residential segregation in the Southern cities, is less than Northern and Midwestern cities like NYC, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee... Now that the South is Republican, the incomes of black households have gone up more in the South than any other region in the country. Do you prefer the South now, or when it was the "Solid South" of the Democratic Party?

How the GOP sells itself to the Southern White is to ALWAYS incorporate MORALS (where they are not actually relevent.) They patronize them by telling them that the Northeast/Coastal liberals are looking to sabotage the history & heritage of the Ol' South. In essence the GOP elite are playing on the tired, worn-out Civil War paranoia that many Southern folk find interesting and possible."
