It is such a widely held notion among US nationals, that US markets are inherently safer than canadian, and it hasn't been true for years now, imho - the uglies who once worked the old VSE have long since gone back south to ply their trade on the otc/bb and pink sheets, now in the g.w.n. to run a minerals junior you need a Qualified Person to operate under NI 43-101, and lay his own neck on the line in so doing, this changes things considerably and i don't see the same in the venture markets down there ..... markets are scarey all over, it's the nature of the game, and borders have always been used for cover by the less than thoroughly ethical, however this works both ways, lots of canuckistani pensioners got burnt by the Enrons and Worldcoms etc

Anyhow, Pluvia is not essentially a bad guy, in my experience to date, i know him from the olden days, story called Pluvia vs Westergaard, very amusing, can't find the thread or i'd post the link

Do you know of any place where Calandra's output is posted? ... i'm curious about what P has in mind here, don't know what C has said ... or what RF has said [though imagination springs readily to action-g-] .... all i can find are these items on cbs marketwatch - marketwatch.com

[edit] - thread for ivan.naz - Subject 54384
