No. What I'm concentrating on is the dumbing down of Americans. The only criteria for preventing our politicians from acting badly is the ballot box. But if only half the people are voting, then this check, this balance can become manipulated both by Big Media and Big Money (M&Ms) aimed at only that portion of the public that will make the difference in winning the election. Thus, the appeal of the national stage politician wanting to become president is aimed at fewer, rather than more, people. Somehow it doesn't feel right to me that our president becomes president by aiming his or her message at fewer, rather than more, people.
