WTF does that have to do with it? GE has stockholders, and the stockholders have annual meetings, and if they didn't like what Welch was doing they could have removed him at any time.

As far as I know, if a corporation's shareholders want to pay Welch $500 million a year that is their prerogitve. As it should be.
