Speaking from the hip again, eh Lizzie? The reality: 60% of pol donations over $200 go to Democrats and 60% of pol donations under $100 go to Republicans. Contrary to popular belief, the Republicans early on figured out how to amass many small donations from indidividuals under the Campaign Finance Reform, while the Dems keep relying on Warren Buffet, Steven Geffen, barbra streisand, the big unions, and the trial lawyers for their $$$$ largess.
