Terrance, I totally disagree. I was happiest when I had no moeny, was in college, and was totally in love with my girlfriend. Bot did I have fun studying, running around Boston, and making love to this sweet and honest thing. Money complicates most of these issues, you tend not to trust people as much, and wonder why she loves you. Money buys only grief, happiness is what we are after, and material things cannot in any way satisfy the human spirit. You are chasing fools gold,as is all of your friends. I will give a personall story from my grandmother as an example. Her 2 brothers in the early 1900's were chasing gold in California. Well they found the gold,as as one brother turned his head, the other picked up his pick, and was going to hit the other and kill him. Well he dropped his pick, grabbed his brothers arm and he gave up the gold to his brother. Well his brother shared the gold with him,the quest for money is the root of all evil! What did the wealth actually bring? Money cannot and never will increase happiness,it is not capable of that. What we all want is to be happy, can you be poor in love and be happy? Can you be alone,a miserable old bastard and be sad? Equate what makes happiness,I know you will not see life as I do,but then again we are all entitled to our opinions. Hiram |
