Factory workers of America have known for a long time -- decades in most cases -- that unless what they produce entails something that can't be done cheaper in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia, etc., their days in that business are numbered. It's not a Bush phenomenon. It's a long term, time- and economics- proven phenomenon, supported by Cli'tonian policies as much as any other preceding Presidents. Remember Ross Perot? NAFTA debate?
I completely agree with all of that....with maybe the exception ...change "have known" to "should have known". I don't think factory workers have really caught on yet.
Have you been sleeping under an apple tree, and just woke up after Bush was in office, Rip van Winkle?
I sense that you're arguing with me about something, but I don't know what you're arguing about. It appears to me that we're in agreement on the facts as stated so far.
Best I can tell is that you just don't like anyone that points out that factory jobs are being replaced with lower paying service sector jobs. You would prefer that we pretend that all those factory jobs are being replaced by brain surgeons, IT professionals, and consultants.
