JF, you keep missing the point. The campaign finance laws are being followed to the letter. It doesn't matter whether thay have any teeth or not, because none of them have really been broken.

Soros is demonstrating what a joke those laws are in "leveling the playing field." Of course, he's supporting your home team, so it's "OK". What if those EOC (Evil Oil Companies) were to do the same thing? They probably won't endorse Bush per-se, but they could endorse a key Republican platform or position.

it would be more interesting if it was a level playing field, and everybody had the exact same $'s to spend.

When it comes to the politics of business, I'm sure some would wish for the same thing WRT Intel vs. AMD. Or Microsoft vs. Linux.

Be very careful what you wish for.
