NEW YORK, Aug 11 (Reuter) - Shares in Columbia/HCA
Healthcare Corp moved higher in after-hours trading Monday to
34-1/4, traders said.
Columbia/HCA closed the day at 33-1/2.
"A lot of people are looking at it," one dealer said.
The company did not release any news Monday, a company
spokewoman said. Other calls to the company seeking further
comment were not immediately returned.
Some technology shares also rose in the after-market,
following a day of losses on Nasdaq.
***** Ascend Communications Inc inched up to 45-1/16
after losing more than four points earlier Monday to close at
44-11/16. Intel edged up to 96-1/2, after losing 1-11/16 to
close at 96-1/8.
Dell traded at 76, after closing off more than three points
at 75-3/4.
The New York Stock Exchange said session one had volume of
3,700, compared to 347,200 Friday, and session two had volume
of 783,450, compared to 1.7 million Friday. |
