China, Japan youth fight to overcome different war views

Japanese students, about 14,500 of whom study Chinese language and culture at Chinese colleges, grow up seeing 1937-1945 as a "war in" or an "entry into" China that can be handled in three textbook pages, although some texts suggest Japan made a mistake.

Chinese students throughout the country learn from elementary school on, through words and pictures, that Japan "invaded" China, "massacred" its citizens and never made people back in Japan aware. Media remind the Chinese almost daily of this history.

Invasion is INVASION, anyway you slice it. An estimated 30 millions of Chinese had been killed during the Japanese invasion, including 300,000 killed in 7 days in NanJing, if this is not called Massacre, then there would be no Massacre in human history!!
