So Israel is immune from UN sanctions? I agree they deserve the benefit of the doubt, but things are not as black and white as you claim. Another thing you are forgetting is that for many years the US armed and supported Saddam Hussein. And Bush Sr. decided not to invade because he believed the alternative to Saddam could be even worse for our interests. Bush-Cheney obviously did not agree but now they are finding out the hard way that unless you have a well thought-out alternative to Saddam, just removing him from the palaces or even killing hm does not necessary benefit anyone. As bad as Saddam was, what alternative are we proposing? Democracy? Yeah right. As if we want that. Iraq would have to be cut into three countries to make that work, and two of those countries could make big trouble for us in the future if they were given autonomy and oil money.
