Wouldn't this suggest that Bush was correct and the rest of the world incorrect?

Your statement wreaks of US conceitedness and also US vanity. The world will fight the scourge of terrorism at its own pace. The world did not see "imminent threat" that Bush saw. The world believed and new better to believe in the weapons inspectors whereas Bush thought they were ineffective, inefficient and that he was right. Where are the WMDs?

So Hawk people like yourself and the Bushies are seeking even the slightest excuse to say Bush is right. All I say, US pipe down, quit from trying to be a world leader, shore up your intelligence for that is the best way to fight terror. I would say don't export your brand of democracy. People will embrace democracy when they feel they would want to. Look at India and the African countries. They fought for their own independence from colonialism and they did so out of their own burning desire. Look at the Soviets who fought on their own to free themselves from the shackles of communism and embrace democracy. They did so at their own pace and their calling.

Instead, I would tell Bush to start acting like the President of the US and not the President of Iraq. Instead of going after Saddam, go after the Saddams in the US; the Ken Lays who stole the retirements of the Americans, the Kozlowski who like Saddam indulged in lavishness. I would tell the Bushies to go after these big fish instead of a lady who may have done a few illegal stock trades in Imclone stocks. Going after Martha and not after the Lays etc. is tantamount to the manner in which the Taleban treated their women folks.
