Yes, it does seem hard to get the attention of the Bleeding-Heart Humanitarian Imperialists, unless the human rights abuses are happening on land with lots of oil reserves.

The solution, is to create an intel-manufacturing Cabal, and convince everyone that Uganda has oil reserves bigger than Iraq and Saudi Arabia combined. We can promise to provide all the hard evidence of this assertion, after the occupation, after Operation Uganda Freedom has tanks in Kampala.

Then, of course, even if we still can't produce any evidence of oil reserves, we can't leave at that point, our national prestige is committed, we can't show weakness, can't lose face, so we'll have to "stay the course" till Uganda is a pro-American secular wealthy democracy.

And, clearly, if we do this in Uganda, then everyone else in the neighborhood will be sufficiently impressed, they will get in line. Soon, Burundi and Congo and Mali will overthrow their dictators, and become democracies with a McDonalds on every street corner.

This is the path to Heaven On Earth, if we just have the fortitude and determination to Stay The Course, and manufacture facts in the quantity and variety needed.
