re: moving Israel to New Zealand:

It also shouldn't be too hard to move all the Jewish holy sites to New Zealand. The Wailing Wall can be dismantled, and re-assembled in New Jerusalem on the South Island. Mount Cook can be renamed New Mt. Sinai. For realism, transplant the old monasteries from Mt. Sinai, maybe a few container-loads of holy rocks, and any burning bushes.

With a large enough budget, it should be possible to remove every structure mentioned in the Torah, to New Zealand. Dig the top 20 feet or so (is that enough to extract all the holiness?), of every biblical hill, every mound of rocks and bones and broken pottery and old blood. Ship it all off, and then the Holy Land, the Promised Land, will be in a more conveniant location.

It'll be great for the tourist industry.
