Hello Challo Jeregy, My Beijing office contacted the Beijing HQ of the Customs Administration, and the customs folk said they are not aware of any new VAT tax above and beyond the current regime.

By itself, my information is only saying that 'I cannot confirm that there is a new augmented VAT coming on January 1st at this time'.

On the related topic of China commodity fever cooling, IMO, any cooling is temporary and can be accumulated, because the underlying cause of the fever is, I believe, intact. I intend to accumulate when the times comes, readying for Fever - Part Two.

Chugs, Jay
