re: Remember when you were harping on Darrell Issa for starting the whole recall drive in California? How you lamented how he was able to spend millions to get the signatures necessary for a recall? What's the difference between Issa and Soros, besides the fact that Soros isn't running for office himself? Both are cases of rich guys who spend (proportionally) tons of money to further their own political agenda or vision. Is that so wrong?

I don't know how you can limit an individual from spending his own money promoting his own agenda. On an entirely different scale, some of us paid to post on SI, and some of us are arguing for our own agenda on this thread. <maybe not a good analogy>.

That's a problem without a solutions, IMHO.

On a similar but different topic, how do you balance a media conglomerate like Clear Channel that has a severe political bias? 1700 (I think) radio stations, all pushing the same agenda, to the exclusion of other views? And their stuff is presented as editorial, not advertising.
