Prescott 1.5 spec mobo pics and info that a 3rd try at a mobo spec for prescott is on the way. Third time's the charm? watch.impress.co.jp Linked to from: theinquirer.net As they keep making the heatsink bigger and bigger for P4, they have to move everything else further away - I wonder if that's what's limiting FSB speeds? They did seem to squeeze the chipset in as close as they could. AMD's architecture allows for adding a 3rd or 4th memory channel to a future AthlonFX version and there wouldn't be any issues of FSB speed, overload, or chipsets to change. Intel has to pump everything through the one connection between chipset and motherboard.
