Without affixing blame to any party, I would surmise that Patterson probably received unclear or "bland" aftercare instructions compounded by poor medical followup. Rambi said something to this effect further downthread. Many times, patients do not attach the same seriousness to popping 3 pills that they would to going under the knife. Having said the above, I am aware that Patterson allegedly telephoned clinic to report complications and was allegedly not given the strong and emphatic advice her situation required.
