AWOL Junior was a frat-boy, then the chickenhawk coward playing dress-up, saying "Bring 'Em On" in front of a "Mission Accomplished" banner, while avoiding military funerals because he'd cry.
I saw him two days after 9/11 when it finally hit him what he'd been party to -- he couldn't keep his composure and left the press conference.
The handlers can't have a repeat of that, and have to keep him away from even the sight of protesters because that would cause him doubt, and especially away from the sight of death, because he would fall apart like the coward he is.
Bush isn't even in the same league as any of the Dem candidates as far as personal courage, personal integrity, intelligence, and suitability for office.
Just imagine Bush in an unscripted interview on Hardball or Meet the Press! That would be a disaster for the Bush presidency if he had to answer any important questions extemporaneously. He's all-handlers, all the time.
Even if Iraq or the economy straightens out, which are unlikely, if Bush wins '04 it will likely be due to rigged voting machines or rigged terrorism alerts.
I'd love to believe the GOP was actually going to lower taxes and improve the economy and strengthen national defense. All three are absolute lies. Taxes are going up for everyone except the top 2%, since local and state taxes are exploding due to federal policy, the debt spending is wasted on irrelevant military contracts that increase militants against the US around the world, and jobs are being destroyed due to multinational corporate policies leading to American servitude.
