The same could be said of the current Administration.

Clinton tried to kill Bin Laden by throwing some cruise missiles at him. This failed.

Bush2 tried to kill Bin Laden, too. And he too has failed, so far. Also failed to kill the Taliban, and failed to kill Saddam Hussain.

Neither the Democrat or Republican plans came to fruition, and none of them will, till we adopt the winning strategy (which, currently, is being championed by neither major party in the U.S.)
