In my ideal world, all my rational, mature people would discuss the problem, support each other, work together, care about something other than themselves, reach the best decision. I don't think CH means that the father can say unilaterally what he wants, just that as it stands, it seems unfair for the woman to have the choice, and the man to not have one, and still be financially responsible. I think that sounds reasonable.
